Marjorie B. Lyle, 87, Tallahassee, FL, died Nov. 9, 2008. She was born in Ingalls, KS, on June 7, 1921, the daughter of Eugene and Mary Haynes Blagg. She grew up in El Dorado Springs.
She worked in Los Angeles, CA, during World War II and moved to Florida in 1946 upon marrying her husband of 62 years, William, who survives her.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her life and her memory warms their hearts.
She was a Methodist and, although she did not regularly attend services in the last years, was always a deeply spiritual person. Her family and friends miss her ready smile and gracious demeanor.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, include three children - Marilyn (husband, John Bays) - Leesburg, FL, William, Jr. (wife, Lois) - Mariposa, CA; and son, James E. (wife, Helen) - Tallahassee, FL; seven grandchildren and their spouses; and 12 great-grandchildren.
There was a private, family only, viewing at Culley’s Meadowood Funeral Home In Tallahassee, FL.
