Jack Edward Clark

Jack Edwards Clark, 70, was born March 1, 1933, in Kansas City, to Thomas Bascom and Cora Belle (Wilson) Clark. He passed away March 5, 2003, at Truman Lake Manor in Lowry City.

On April 17, 1953, Jack was united in marriage at Ottawa, KS, to Doris Marie Bussell.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean war and was honorably discharged from the Re¬serves in 1981. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing and bingo. He was a member of the Circle Lodge #342 A.F. and A.M., the Ararat Shrine Temple in Kansas City, the VFW Post #257 in El Dorado Springs and the Tiffin Baptist Church. He served on the city council of Roscoe for 10 years.

Jack was preceded in death by two sons, Jimmie Dale Clark and Jerry Lee Clark; his parents; two brothers, James Clark and Thomas Clark; and two sisters, Ada Hardwick and Jean Rector.

He is survived by his wife, Doris, of the home; one son, Jack Clark Jr. - Osceola; three daughters - Darlene Edwards - Ft. Worth, TX, Patsy Peeler and her husband, Danny - Grandview, and Nancy Pointer and her husband, Robert - Drexel; one brother, Donald Clark and his wife, Lanora - Warsaw; one sister, Bessie Pis¬apia and her husband, Al - Kelso, WA; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.

Services were held Monday, March 10, in the Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel with Rev. Jon Cuddles officiating. Music was "Scarlet Purple Robe," "Wind Beneath My Wings" and "Amazing Grace." Masonic services were by Circle Lodge #342 A.F. and A.M. Casket¬bearers were Thomas Edwards, Jack Clark Jr., Allen Clark, Laci Goodell, John Bussell and Bill Bussell. Military services were by VFW Post #257. Interment was in Benton Green Cemetery under direction of Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home.
