Leslie Franklin Cox

Leslie Franklin Cox, 60 - El Dorado Springs, was born April 23, 1950, in Cedar County, to Willie Lee (Pace) Cox and Chester Thomas Cox. He passed away in his home on Oct. 10, 2010, of an apparent heart attack.

He married Marta Sue Trent and to this union one daughter, Daphne Lynn, was born on Aug. 16, 1974. He later married Mary Costello.

Frank worked at several jobs: Sheldon Dairy, Alexander Trucking, Allison Tires, Stockton Nursing Home and was last employed at Dunbrooke Shirt Factory.

Frank was saved at Pleasant Ridge Missionary Baptist Church when he was 12 years old.

He was a hard worker, an honest man and a wonderful brother and friend. Frank enjoyed being with family and friends and was a blessing to all.

He was preceded in death by his father, Chester Thomas Cox and both sets of grandparents, Charles and Annie Cox and “Dude” and Ellen Pace.

Survivors include: his daughter, Daphne Lynn Cox - Quapaw, OK; his mother, Willie Lee Cox - Nevada; two brothers, Russell Cox, and family - El Dorado Springs, and Elvin (Abe) Cox, and his wife, Joyce, of Nevada; two sisters: Marcile Hurshman – Nevada, and Nelda Elaine Shaw, and her husband, Myrle - El Dorado Springs; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Starla Lucas; and many other friends.

A visitation time to share memories with family and friends was held on Saturday, Oct. 16. Final disposition was cremation.
Arrangements were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
