Dorothy Irene Brockmeyer was born on Jan. 20, 1924, in Ravenwood and passed away March 19, 2010, in Kansas City.
Dorothy worked in health care until she retired.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Henry; and son, John; her father and mother; three brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by three daughters - Mary Hibler - Bates City, Catherine Harper - Excelsior Springs, and Elizabeth Parrish - Kansas
City; two sons, Edward Brockmeyer and wife, Shirley - Lucerne, and Henry Brockmeyer Jr. and wife, Correna - Independence; 16 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday, March 23, at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, El Dorado Springs, with Father Basil Doan officiating. Music was How Great Thou Art and Amazing Grace. Pianist was Carol Stubock. Interment was in El Dorado Springs City Cemetery under the direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs. Her grandsons were the casketbearers.
The family’s wishes are for donations to Kansas City Hospice House.
