Neva Almeda (Burton) Barker, 94, passed away on May 3, 2011, at her home near Birdsong in rural St. Clair County. She was born Feb. 27, 1917, to Orville and Alice (Capps) Burton at Birdsong.
Survivors include one son, Charles Barker and wife, Kathy - Osceola; and four daughters - Donna Hicks - El Dorado Springs, Bonnie Davis and husband, Tom - Bates City, Virginia Claessen and husband, Andy - Independence, and Carolyn Berning and husband, Max - El Dorado Springs.
Services will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6-7 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
