Pearl Marie (Gilpin) Cochran, 85, passed away on Friday, Dec. 18, 2009, at Medical Lodges Inc. in Nevada. Pearl was born on July 22, 1924, in Crowley County, CO, to Percy Clyde and Jessie Jewel (McCarthy) Gilpin.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 19 years, Lendon L. Cochran; her parents, Percy and Jessie Gilpin; and two sisters, Florence Gilpin and Anitia Gilpin Leverich.
Pearl Marie was a beloved mother to her only child, Pamela Cochran Arledge, and husband. Jerry - Festus. She was grandmother to Suzanne Evans, and husband, Mark, and to David Arledge, and wife, Linda, and a great-grandmother of four.
Survivors include her siblings: Virginia Beydler, Alice Nikodim, and husband, Art, Marion Gilpin, and wife, Rita, Howard Gilpin, and wife, Nina - all of El Dorado Springs, and Wesley A. Gilpin - New Hampshire; and a huge extended family and a lot of friends.
Services began at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 23, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. A visitation was held at 12 p.m. just prior to the service. Interment was in the Clintonville Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were - David Arledge, Art Nikodim, Howard Gilpin, Rick Coale, Tom Cain and Roy Weeda.
