Shirley Stephens, 78, Wellington, KS, died Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at Summer Regional Medical Center, Wellington, KS. She was born, the daughter of Romes and Minnie (Prough) Hartline on Friday, May 29, 1931, in El Dorado Springs.
She was raised in the area and graduated from the El Dorado Springs High School.
Following her marriage in 1948, she moved to Wichita, KS, and has lived in Belle Plaine and Wellington, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include: Her daughters, Brenda Munro, and her husband, John - Wellington, KS, and Sherry Westfall – Wellington, KS; son, Jeffrey Stephens – Topeka; close friend, Mag Abasolo - Wellington; grandchildren – Scott Munro, and his wife, Makeesa – Kansas City, Shane Munro, and his wife, Kristina – Wichita, Dustin Rager, and his wife, Michelle – Chillicothe, Lindsay Rager – Manhattan, KS; and six great-grandchildren – Corey, Harrison, Dalen, Hayden, Alyssa and Makenna.
She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be missed.
