William J. Wright, 69, El Dorado Springs, passed away Nov. 17, 2010, at his home near El Dorado Springs. He was born Oct. 25, 1941, in Kansas City, KS, to Ernest and Thelma Nancy Jane Wright.
While living in Kansas City, Bill married Edna Pearl Winder on Nov. 4, 1963. To this union two children were born, Billy and Nancy.
Bill worked for many years in El Dorado Springs at the Laminated Beam Factory and at Barrington’s. He was a devoted husband and father, loving his family very much. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. While his health permitted, Bill enjoyed gardening, especially growing lots of tomatoes.
Preceding Bill in death were his parents; his wife, Edna Pearl; and five brothers and sisters.
Bill is survived by one son, Billy Wright - Jerico Springs; one daughter, Nancy Harrison - Jerico Springs; three grandchildren - Candy, Melissa and Cody; one brother, Jack Wright; two sisters, Kathy and Shirley; one sister-in-law, Alline Simmons, and husband, James - Stockton; five brothers-in-law - Ray Winder, and wife, Sue, Larry Winder, and wife, Donna, Roy, Winder, and wife, Edna - all of Stockton; Eldon Winder, and wife, Dava – Butler, and Merl Winder - Gulfport, FL; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at Pankey Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 19, p.m. with Rev. Randy Hayward officiating.
Services were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
