Alvin (Al, Burl, Uncle Ben, Pop) Todd, 73, former resident of El Dorado Springs and Webb City, passed away July 25, 2011, in Bixby, OK, after a four-year struggle due to a stroke.
Alvin was born Sept. 3, 1937, in Moodys, OK, to Alvin and Della Todd.
Alvin served in the United States Navy. He was retired from ConTel/GTE Phone Company.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Katrina and Dan Fowler, Webb City; two sisters, Cleatha Fann - Woodland, CA and Suelene Bledsoe - Kansas City, KS; two sister/cousins, Wilma Vann and Wanda Harles - both of Tahlequah OK; six grandsons - Mitch and his wife Jennifer Todd - El Dorado Springs, Tony Todd - El Dorado Springs; Todd, James, Grant and Blake Fowler - Webb City; one great-grandson, Riley Boyd - El Dorado Springs; three step sons - Bob, Hank and Jeff Stottle; two step daughters, Sandy Shipley and Vicci Flores; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and great friends.
His father and mother; his sister, Thelma Leep; his son/best friend, Mike Todd; and a great grandson, Mason Todd, preceded him in death.
A private service will be held at a later date.
