Terry J. “Jim” Hunter, 56, Blue Springs, passed away July 25, 2011, in Independence.
A celebration of Jim’s life took place on Saturday, July 30, at Meyers Funeral Chapel, 1600 W. Main Street, Blue Springs, with Reverend Cliff Caton celebrating.
Jim was born Oct. 24, 1956, in Blue Springs, to Junior and Marylee (Lofton) Hunter. He married Marilyn Hall on Jan. 20, 1973, in Blue Springs. He was a heavy equipment operator for 30 years and was a member of Local 101 Operating Engineers. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mike Hunter.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn of the home, a daughter, Kerri Wilborn and husband, Toby, Blue Springs; a son, Bradly Hunter,
Blue Springs; sisters, Barbara Leonard - El Dorado Springs and Virginia Smith - Lincoln; and four grandchildren - Brittany, Emilee, Hunter and Austin Wilborn. He is also survived by nephew, Richard Snodgrass and a host of other nephews and nieces.
