Stella Lavada Croy

Stella Lavada Croy, 85, El Dorado Springs, was born June 20, 1924, to Ollie and William Frances Coder in Ulysses, KS, and passed away on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at Nevada Medical Center, Nevada. She was one of nine children, four of whom died in infancy.

Due to declining health, Stella and Comadore had been residing in the El Dorado Springs area under the loving care and supervision of Ken and Thelma Smith.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rev. Comadore Croy – El Dorado Springs; one daughter, Janice and husband, Jerry Harrison – Weatherford, TX; one sister, Elsie Knox – Holly CO, who was a mother to her from an early age; two grandchildren, Christina Grimes and Mike Harrison; and three great-granddaughters; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services were held in Highland Chapel, Denver, CO. She was laid to rest beside her late husband, Rev. John Briles.
Arrangement were handled by Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
