Misty Dawn (Gilmore) Vann

Misty Dawn (Gilmore) Vann, 44, Clinton, the daughter of George Andrew and Mary Lucille (Wells) Gilmore, was born Dec. 8, 1966, in Joplin and passed from this life on Wednesday evening, Aug. 3, 2011, from injuries she received in a motor vehicle accident earlier that day.

Misty attended school in Diamond, until the fifth grade then she, along with her family moved to Adrian, where she attended school and excelled in the high school marching band. She graduated from Adrian High School in 1985. She then attended both Longview and Heritage College where she obtained her CNA. She worked for a time at Adrian Manor and also provided in-home care.

Throughout her life, Misty lived mostly in Missouri but did for a time live in Colorado. Her hobbies included photography and rodeos – but her greatest love was her grandchildren.

Survivors include her two children–– Felicia and Roy Love – both of Clinton; her mother, Mary Gilmore – Adrian; one brother, Everett
Ogle and his wife, Donna – Moundville; one sister, Della Underwood and her husband, Buddy – Ellington; her two grandchildren, Eain McKinney and Justice Love – both of Clinton; nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and many friends.

Memorial services were Friday, Aug. 5, at the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City with Bro. Grady Davis officiating.
It was Misty’s wish to be cremated. Services for Ms. Vann were entrusted to the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, Schell City.
