Ada Marjorie Vrbanac

Ada Marjorie Vrbanac, 82, passed away Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at John Knox Village in Lee Summit. Ada was born June 2, 1928, to Jake and Eula Shaw in Plattsburg, MO.

She was a resident of Kansas City, KS, until moving to El Dorado Springs in the early 90s. In 2009, she moved to Lee’s Summit to be with her daughter. Ada was a fixture at Griff’s Restaurant in KCK for many years.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, Sept. 16, at the Skradski Funeral Home 340 N. 6th, Kansas City, KS 66101. Graveside services to follow at 12:30 p.m. in Mt. Calvary Cemetery at 38th and State in Kansas City, KS.

Ada was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Vrbanac, and by her brother, Sammie Shaw, and sisters - Viola, Prudy, Betty’“Wilma” and Martha Tywanna.

She is survived by her son, William C. (Lori) Vrbanac - Auburn, KS; daughter, Cynthia M. (Jeff) See - Lee Summit; brothers, Carl and Buddy Shaw; sister - Oma Biggs, Ruby Janes, Wanda Keith and Rena Jane Shaw; grandchildren - Jenni, Matthew, Elizabeth, Mindi and Jarek; along with many nieces and nephews.
