Harrison Richard (Rick) Glenn, 42, El Dorado Springs, passed away at his home on Feb. 27, 2011. He was born in Kansas City, on June 4, 1968, to John and Donna May (Sweringson) Glenn.
Rick attended school in Kansas City. On Oct. 31, 1998, he married Lucretia Wooldridge. He worked for many years as a steel worker and served as shop foreman and union steward until he became disabled.
Rick was a loving and caring man and would give you the shirt off his back. He had a great sense of humor. Rick’s favorite hobby was fishing but his life revolved around his children.
Preceding him in death were a brother, Frankie, and a sister, Angel.
Survivors include: his wife, Lucretia - of the home; his mother, Donna Parks; his father, John Glenn; a son, Joseph Michale Glenn; a daughter, Callie Dawn Glenn; brothers - Jerry Lowe, Gary Lowe, Elmer Thomas Glenn, John Michael Glenn and Charles Collins – Kansas City, KS; sister, Eva Pearl Glenn, Cheryl West – Kansas City, KS, and Ruby Collins – of Missouri; and close friend, Marcus Reed. Also surviving is Chad Paul Carridine and many other relatives and friends.
The family will have a memorial service beginning at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 5, at the home on 1107 S. Forrest with dinner at 3 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations for last expenses may be made to the funeral home.
