Donna Adell Evans

Donna Evans, 77, Carthage, the daughter of Edwin K. and Laveda M. (Shirk) Knight was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Schell City and passed from this life Saturday, July 17, 2010, at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin.

Donna was raised in Schell City by her grandparents, John and Nancy Shirk and attended school there. She later met and married Earl Feagan and together they moved west, living in Arizona and California while Earl worked construction. Later, Donna moved back to Vernon County where she worked for a time at the Tent Factory and later began employment with what is now the Nevada Habilitation Center. She retired from there in 1997. Donna was married for more than 20 years to J.B. Evans.
He passed away in 1984.

Donna was a Christian lady. She loved flowers, gardening and especially caring for humming birds. She lived most of her life in the Nevada area where she attended Calvary Baptist Church but, for the last six years, has lived in Carthage to be near her daughter, Lisa. Together they attended Central Christian Center in Joplin. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include: Three sons – Paul Feagan, and his wife, Kristi – Milo, Kerry Feagan, and his wife, Rhonda – Carthage, and Albert Feagan – Carthage; one daughter, Lisa Robinson – Carthage; one sister, Shirley Roselli, and her husband, Jimmy – Kansas City; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one niece; one nephew; other relatives and many friends.

Services began at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, at the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City, with Bro. Charles Garton officiating. Musical selections were provided by Tammy Schilling, Nicole Austin and Kellie Gunn. Interment was in the Green Lawn Cemetery, Schell City.

Pallbearers were – Travis Smith, Ricky Green. P.J. Feagan, Albert Feagan, Josh Robinson, Zachary Austin and Evan Feagan.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City.
