Dorothy Ann Cover, 78, the daughter of Frank Gussie and Stella Krazinski, was born June 4, 1925, in Republic, PA, and passed from this life on Saturday, June 21, 2003, at St. John's Hospital, Springfield.
Dorothy's given name at birth was Rita. At the approximate age of five, she was given to Brund and Anna Markotchhi Krazinski. At that time, she was given the name Dorothy Ann. She was baptized into the Roman Catholic Church on May 5, 1926. Dorothy attended both public and parochial school. She graduated from South High School, Cleveland, OH.
In 1943, Dorothy was united in marriage to Howard Schultz. Together they had one son and one daughter. Following a divorce from Howard, while she was working as a waitress, Dorothy met and married Glenn E. Cover, a patternmaker at Ford Motor Company. They were married in Brunswick, OH, on May 3, 1958. This year was their 45th wedding anniversary. In 1998, the Cover's relocated to southwest Missouri.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and son, Howard Robert Schultz Jr., who passed away on Aug. 15, 1995, at the age of 48.
She is survived by her husband, Glen; her daughter, Karen (Schultz) Moller - who resides in Sidney, Australia; her granddaughter, Nina and grandson, Martin - both of Australia; two stepsons, Shaun and Vaughn Cover, and their families - all of Ohio.
Graveside services were held Saturday, June 21, at the Flatrock Cemetery, Schell City, with Bob Rutzen officiating under direction of the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home, Schell City. Musical selections were provided by Laurel Corlett, Mary McKee and Bob Rutzen.
