Pamela Jean Ritter, 60, formerly of Weaubleau, was born Nov. 1, 1948, to her loving parents, Frank and Donna Morris. Pam left this world on June 24, 2009, to be with our Lord in Heaven.
On Oct. 2, 1971, Pam was united in marriage to Leonard Ritter. To this union four children were born.
Pam lived in Weaubleau for over 18 years when she decided to move closer to Springfield due to illness and her battle with several types of cancer. Over the years, Pam and Leonard lived in Columbia, Ava, Crane and Weaubleau due to his job with the telephone companies. For a time they raised racehorses.
Pam was a supervisor for State Farm Insurance in Columbia in the 1970’s. She worked at Faultless Starch in Humansville, Tracker Boats in Bolivar and was a professional seamstress. Pam made wedding dresses while the family lived in Crane. Her hobbies included painting, folk art, ceramics, sewing and quilting. She was a dedicated mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; and her father, Frank Morris.
Survivors include her children - Deidra Ritter - Nixa, Randall Ritter - Ozark, Shawna Stephens and husband, Kevin - Galena, and Jackie Cain and husband, Kyle - Fair Grove; her mother, Donna Morris; her two beloved sisters, Linda McCullick and Brenda Riggs; eight grandchildren - Russell, Ashley, Kelby, Christopher, Megan, Jorgan, Trinity and Kyler; sister in-law, Lana; and daughter in-law, Susan.
She will be greatly missed by her family and all of her friends
Services were held Saturday, June 27, in Robinson Cemetery, Weaubleau, under the direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, with Rev. Kenneth Gibson officiating. Special music was Amazing Grace and Blessed Assurance by soloist Linda Gibson.
Casketbearers were – Christopher Loomis, Randall Ritter, Kevin Stephens, Justin Rien, Russell Ritter, Kyle Cain and Christopher Ritter.
