Joseph george Adamson


Joseph G. Adamson, 70, Stockton, died Thursday, April 15, 2010, in the Stockton Nursing Home. He was born May 7, 1939, to Joseph and Leona (Buler) Adamson.

He married Violet B. Shirey on May 7, 1972, in Norristown, PA, and lived in Stockton for 32 years. To this marriage three children were raised, daughters, Melissa and Joanne, and a son, Jesse.

Joe worked at Allied Signal for 10 years out of Kansas City Local 710 UAW and was known for his wide ability to repair cars. He had a huge heart and was well known for his generosity and kindness and he was a friend to all.

Survivors include his loving wife, Violet Adamson; daughters, Melissa A. Adamson - Stockton, Joanne and husband, Robert Morris - Halfway; son, Jesse J. Adamson - El Dorado Springs; brothers, Robert Adamson - Eagleville, PA, Richard Adamson - Birdsboro, PA, and David Adamson - Norristown, PA; sister, Jacqueline - Schwenksville, PA; three grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services were held at 5 p.m. Monday, April 19, in Sheldon Funeral Home with Pastor Joe Trussell officiating. Music was Face To Face and Amazing Grace with pianist Faith Trussell.

Casketbearers were - Robert Adamson, Robert Morris, David Adamson Jesse Adamson, Richard Adamson and David Lewis. Interment was in Mound Cemetery, El Dorado Springs, under the direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
