Clarence Carl Coleman, 91, was born Aug. 10, 1911, at Roscoe, to William Penn and Della King Coleman. He departed this life at 6 a.m. on March 2, 2003.
Clarence was united in marriage to Alice Woody on June 20, 1934, at Osceola. He lived most of his life in Cedar and St. Clair Counties. He was a farmer who loved the outdoors, music and living life to the fullest. He went to work at Producers Milk Plant in 1947 until retirement in 1974.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Alice; mother, Della; father, William; two brothers, Manuel and Melvin; and two sisters, Lovara Coleman and Loree Howerton.
He is survived by his two sons Clarence Jr. and wife, Shirley and Gary K. and his wife, Vickie; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Loless Roberts, and her husband, Dean; nieces; nephews; cousins and friends.
Services began at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Pleasant Springs Cemetery near El Dorado Springs with Greg Mangum officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Springs Cemetery under direction of the Sheldon Funeral Home of El Dorado Springs.
