Maggie Lorene Davis, 85, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Monday morning, March 3, 2003, at the Cedar County Memorial Hospital. She was born on Feb. 12, 1918, in Cedar Springs, the daughter of Fred and Ada Francis Long Spencer.

Mrs. Davis married John T. Davis on Dec. 26, 1944, in Killeen, TX. She was a homemaker and mother for the last 58 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ in El Dorado Springs.

She is survived by her husband, John, of the home; her two daughters, Linda Kay Groom and Ruth Ellen Warstler; her son, John Michael Davis; four brothers - Edward, Edwin, Carroll Lee and Jim Spencer; one sister, Mary Lou Long; nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will begin at 2 p.m. Friday afternoon, March 7, at the Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Clintonville Cemetery
under the direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be John Warstler, David Warstler, Daniel Warstler, Richard Eason, Bud Eason and Buril Hardin.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Fair Haven Children's Home.
