Kelly Glen Gibbs

Kelly Glen Gibbs, 37, El Dorado Springs, passed away Friday, July 17, 2009, at his home. He was born Jan. 29, 1972, in El Dorado Springs to Glen Robert Gibbs and Susan Mary Gibbs.

Kelly was the baby of his family, being the youngest of nine children. He was very spoiled by everyone, especially his mom. He really enjoyed playing football and baseball but loved anything to do with sports. The Washington Redskins was his all-time favorite sports team. He loved watching the Skins and wrestling.

It made Kelly very happy to make people smile by cracking jokes, pulling pranks or just being silly. He was a very caring and sensitive person. His favorite thing to do was spend time with his family, especially his four daughters. They were the highlight of his life and what kept him fighting for as long as he did.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glen and Susie; his nephew, Daniel Reeder; and his niece, Tracy Scott.

Survivors include his four children - Blaine, Laken, Paije and Kylie Gibbs; three brothers – Robbie, and wife, Patty, Wayne, and wife, Debbie, and Keith Gibbs; five sisters – Joyce Hughes, and husband, Lowell, Janice Scott, and husband, Scotty, Kathy Gibbs, and Mike Hoffman, Karen Spencer, and husband, Robert, Kris Leonard, and husband, Greg; and lots of nieces, nephews, and many friends who will all miss him dearly.

Services were held Monday, July 20, in Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Brent Bland officiating. Interment followed in Love Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs. Pallbearers were – Jason Spencer, D.J. Reeder, Kendall Gibbs, Brian Gibbs, Travis Burchett, Lofty Gibbs, Randy Anderson, Kevin Scott and Robert Wayne Gibbs. Honorary pallbearers were Trenton Leonard, Kyler Leonard and Brandon Scott.

Memorial donations may be left at the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
