Lawrence Allen Wisner, 83, was born on April 1, 1926, in Osceola to Otis Wisner and Virlie M. Lucky Wisner. He passed away on Nov. 12, 2009, in Warrensburg at the Missouri Veterans Home.
Lawrence served his country during World War II in the United States Navy. He worked for 20 years in the trucking industry, which is where he retired.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Virlie Wisner; one daughter, Marian Gale Wisner; and one sister, Rosa Lee Wood.
He is survived by his wife, Edna Lee Shinn Wisner; one son, Robert Eugene Wisner, of El Dorado Springs; three daughters - Sharon Lucille LaRue - Clinton, Lena Kay Dodds - El Dorado Springs; and four sisters - Lula May Eugene - Woodburn, OR, Twila D. Horn, Sandra Ketchum - St. David, AZ, and O’Dessie Peterson - Tyghvalley, OR.
Services were held Sunday, Nov. 15, Sheldon-Goodrich Chapel in Osceola with Rev. Fred Stevens officiating. Music was Where The Roses Never Fade and Precious Memories by Bear Creek Gospel Band.
Casketbearers were his nephews.
Interment was in Bear Creek Cemetery with Military Services by Appleton VFW #242 and Navy Funeral Honors.
Arrangements were by Sheldon-Goodrich Funeral Home, Osceola.
