Mildred Arlee Brink, 87, El Dorado Springs, Missouri passed away Nov. 30, 2009, at Community Springs Healthcare Facility. She was born on Feb. 9, 1922, to John and Martha Anderson in Atlantic, IA.
Mildred worked on the family farm with her father until she married Raymond Meyer and they moved to a farm of their own in Cass County, IA. They had three children, Larry, Joyce and Marsha. Raymond passed away in 1952.
Later Mildred met and married Kenneth Brink, a master plumber. They moved to Longmont, CO, and she went to work for Gerry Mountain Sports as a seamstress. They had one daughter, Bethan. After their retirement, Mildred and Kenneth traveled and finally settled in El Dorado Springs.
Mildred loved gardening, canning, cooking and sewing.
Preceding Mildred in death were her parents; her husband Kenneth; a daughter, Joyce; a son, Larry; one sister, Ethel; and one niece, Patrica.
She is survived by two daughters, Marsha Rossow, and husband, Ray - Thorton, CO, and Bethan Carl, and husband, John, of Osceola; 10 grandchildren - Trisha Frossard, Rob Bigam, Larry A. Meyer, Ranette Jordan, Kenneth Bauer Jr., Kristine Bauer, Koryne Collins, Cody Pingston, Chelcee Carl and John Carl II; four great-grandchildren - Bryce, Kara, Laura and Catelin; one sister, Evelyn Meyer; and many nieces and nephews.
Services were held on Friday, Dec. 4, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Greg Magnum officiating. Interment followed in Kidds Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were - John Carl, Rob Bigam, Cody Pingston and Ray Rossow.
