Terrance M. Ebeltoft, 71, rural Osceola, passed away Aug. 9, 2009, at his home. He was born in Dunn Center, ND, on Feb. 17, 1938.
Terry moved to Seattle, WA, in 1941 with his parents and two siblings, Delores and Dennis. Another sister, Donna, died at age six months while in North Dakota.
He had a good family life and a traditional Catholic education. Many of his classmates became lifelong friends. In 1956 Terry joined the United States Air Force and was discharged in 1960. He worked 11 years for a radar manufacturing company, seven of those years in Vietnam.
After returning from Vietnam, Terry started selling beef jerky in Los Angeles. In 1990 he bought Cedar Creek Beef Jerky and enjoyed almost 20 years in the El Dorado Springs area.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.
His employees and other friends will share a time of visitation at Bland-Hackleman Chapel beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12. Services will be held in Edmonds, WA, at 9 a.m. on Aug. 22, with interment to follow in Holyrood Catholic Cemetery in Shoreline, WA. Arrangements are under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
