Wanda Bee Hill, 76, El Dorado Springs, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010. She was born April 8, 1934, in Jamesport, to Joseph Guy and Audrey Gertrude (McClain) Brandenburg.
Wanda’s last employment was a purchasing agent for Data Graphics in San Diego, CA. She was an excellent employee, always willing to work hard.
Bill and Wanda moved to El Dorado Springs in 1994. They had been married for 27 years at the time of her passing.
Wanda was a wonderful wife, mother, sister and grandma. She loved her home, her family and her grandchildren. She seemed to find her greatest joy in family get togethers. Cooking and preparing for dinner celebrations with family at Thanksgiving and Christmas were special times.
Preceding her in death were her parents and one son, Joseph Clyde Ray.
Survivors include her husband, Albert “Bill” Hill, of the home; one son, Marc Anthony Ray - Bolivar; four daughters - Audrey Bury and husband, Randall - Fulton, Teresa Jean Broughton and husband, Rodney - Oregon, Winona Jane Ray - Myrtle Beach, SC, and Brenda Elaine Mancil and husband, Ron - Myrtle Beach, SC; 10 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers - Bob Brandenburg and wife, Jean - Shawnee, KS, and Ronald Brandenburg and wife, Dorothy; one sister, Martha Bryan and husband, Dave - Kansas City; and many other relatives and friends.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, Aug. 22, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel. Her grandson, Dennis Bacon, officiated. Music selections were I Can Only Imagine, The Old Rugged Cross, In the Garden and Amazing Grace. Final disposition was inurnment.
Arrangements were entrusted to Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
