Brent Edward Detwiler, D.C., 33, of Owensboro, KY, formerly of El Dorado Springs, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011, in Owensboro. He was born on Sept. 6, 1977, in St. Louis.
Brent was a Doctor of Chiropractic with Stallings Chiropractic. He also was an owner-partner of the Digital Doc in Owensboro.
He was a member of several Chiropractic Associations, the Owensboro Chamber Young Professionals, the Phi Mu Alpha professional fraternity and the First Baptist Church of El Dorado Springs. Brent attended Missouri State University in Springfield and was a graduate of Logan College of Chiropractic in St. Louis. He took great pride in aiding in the health and well being of his patients.
Brent was preceded in death by grandparents, Edward Friar, Evan Detwiler and Florence “Betty” Pursley.
Brent loved spending time with his daughter, Morgan, and she always said that her daddy could do anything. He had many best friends, loved life, was very kind-hearted, always doing everything to the best of his ability. He woke up everyday to say ‘Today is going to be a great day’. He enjoyed playing cornhole, brewing his own custom microbrew and BBQing.
Surviving is his former wife, Jennifer Detwiler, Owensboro; his daughter, Morgan Victoria Detwiler; parents, John and Georgia Detwiler, El Dorado Springs; sister, Michelle Detwiler Leroux, husband, Richard, and nephew, Juris, all of Springfield; grandmothers, Betty Friar, El Dorado Springs, and Carol Detwiler, Blue Springs; and numerous aunts, uncle and cousins.
Services were held Monday, June 13, at Sheldon Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs with Pastor Ron Marsh officiating. His final resting place is El Dorado Springs City Cemetery.
