Dora Irene Morgan

Dora Irene Morgan, 67, Nevada, was born on May 26, 1942, to Floyd and Dora Dean (Taylor) Bauer at McCune, KS. She peacefully passed away Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at the Nevada Regional Medical Center, Nevada.

On Jan. 5, 1957, Dora was joined in marriage to Roy Elmer Morgan. They traveled life’s road, sharing joys and sorrows and their journey together was 46 1/2 years. This union was blessed with four daughters.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one daughter, Angela; four brothers; and three sisters.

Those left to cherish her fond memories are three daughters: Sandra Gail and husband, Otto Modlin - Nevada; Kelly and husband, Carlton Pierce - Mt. Washington, KY, and Yvonna Christine and husband, Kenneth Hooper - Nevada; 17 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Corla Houchin - Walker, and Gail and husband, Robert Fontenot - Beaufort, SC; numerous nieces; nephews; great-nieces; great-nephews; and many other relatives and friends.

Services were held on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, at Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home in El Dorado Springs, with Rev. Felix Salazar officiating. Karen Mosher and daughters provided music. Interment followed in Mt. Vernon Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were: Paul Modlin, William Modlin, J.R. Slichenmyer, Joe Koehn Sr., Randall Toon, Ray Slaon, and Jeff Burdick.
