Raymond Lee Molt, 67, El Dorado Springs, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009. He was born Nov. 10, 1941, to Henry and Stella (Suspenske) Molt. He was raised on a farm as one of 16 children.
Ray served in the Navy for five years and shortly after he was discharged, he met Claudia when she was 16.
They were married May 12, 1965, and their son, Randy, was born on April Fool’s Day, April 1, 1966. They lived in Buckner, for 30 years and were members of Anchor Point Church, where Pastor Ronnie Hicks baptized them on May 10, 1987. Ray was made a deacon on April 29, 1990.
Their son, Randy, was married to Leigh McKenzie at Anchor Point Church on July 11, 1987, and they blessed Ray and Claudia with five grandchildren: Jed – 18, Emma – 16, Grace – 12, Jim – 10 and Jeffrey - 9.
Ray was a hard worker all his life and took pride in everything he did. He worked for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 37 years. Ray and Claudia enjoyed taking trips after his retirement. After Ray’s retirement, they bought a house in El Dorado Springs and fixed it up. Ray did all the remodeling work himself, though Claudia helped him with the decorating. He enjoyed his yard work, keeping the house looking nice. He enjoyed taking trips with his wife.
Services were held on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2009, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Robert Newberry officiating. Music selections were
The Old Rugged Cross and In the Garden. Arrangements were under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home.
