Mary Jane Witt, 72, Willcox, AZ, went to join her Lord on Friday, Sept. 11, 2009, in Tucson, AZ. She was born on Oct. 13, 1936, in Kansas City, KS, to Miles Edward Burris and Charlotte (Brown) Burris.
Mary was a third generation Harvey Girl, was a CNA in Arizona and Missouri, and was the former manager of the Circle B Care Home in Willcox. She was active in the Democratic Party and a member of Faith Bible Church in Willcox.
Previously, she had lived in El Dorado Springs for several years.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Charles, in 1988; her parents; a son, David Witt; and three sisters.
Mary is survived by three daughters - Kim Bendfeldt, her husband, Terry and their two children, Travis and Samantha - Alvarado, TX, Robin Witt and her two children, Rose and Christopher - Tucson, AZ; and Tina Addington, her husband, Brian, and their four children - Charles, David, Karina and Stephen - Willcox, AZ; and seven great-grandchildren - Crissy, Danny, Zoey, Erik, Jhanzeil, Clarissa and Araceli; her brother, Eddie Burris; and her sister, Rosemary Adkins.
A memorial service was held on Monday, Sept. 14, in the Faith Bible Church in Willcox. Concluding services will begin at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at Clintonville Cemetery in El Dorado Springs.
