Lois Maxine Dever, 79, was born Dec. 20, 1923, the daughter of Thomas and Etelka Phinney, and passed away peacefully on the morning of July 4, 2003.
Lois married Lloyd Dever in January of 1950. To this union three children were born. Lloyd preceded her in death on Aug. 1, 1999.
For many hears Lois worked for Hendricks Abstract Office in El Dorado Springs.
Besides her husband, Lloyd, she was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Paul and Ralph.
Survivors include her two sons, Albert - Nevada, and Allen and his wife, Anne - St. Louis, and their two children, Laura - New York City, NY, and Greg - St. Louis; her daughter, Joyce and husband, Bill Hinkle - Kansas City; her sister, Zella Rich - Gridley, KS; a brother, James Phinney - El Dorado Springs; numerous nieces and nephews.
Lois was a devoted and loving mother and will be missed by all who truly knew her.
Services were held Tuesday, July 8, in the Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Milan Bourland officiating. Musical selections were provided by Ruth Brown. Interment was in the Martin Cemetery under direction of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home. Pallbearers were Sam Sparks, Jim Phinney, Richard Headrick, Steve Woody, Bill Hinkle and Brad Leonard.
