Patrick Michael Collins, 43, Nevada, passed away on Thursday evening, July 24, 2003. He was born in Drayton, ND, the son of Bervin and Yevonne Hensrude Collins.
Pat graduated from the Kennedy High School in Kennedy, MN, in 1978 and from the University of North Dakota in 1983 with a degree in Civil Engineering.
Pat had been employed at 3M in Nevada since June 25, 1990. At the time of Pat's death, he was Plant Engineering General Supervisor. He was instrumental in coordinating many plant expansions and equipment installations at the Nevada plant.
On Jan. 17, 1997, Pat was united in marriage to Kimberly Fast.
Pat had a great love for hunting, fishing and anything outdoors. He enjoyed his annual hunting and fishing trips to Colorado, Alaska, Louisiana and Michigan. He was a very talented musician and had the ability to play any instrument he picked up.
Pat's favorite times were those spent with his children, T-ball with Mikey, swimming, taking the kids to Colorado to learn to ski, teaching each of them to use a bow and arrow, camping trips and just times at home.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bervin R. Collins.
Those who remain to keep alive his memories in their hearts are his wife, Kimberly - of the home; his children - Michael, Alexandria, Kissandria and Mirandia; his mother, Yevonne Collins - Grand Forks, ND; his sister, Brenda Renalls - Woodbury, MN; mother-in-law, Charlotte Dauben, and her hus¬band, Steve - Lamar; father-in-law, James Fast Sr. - Nevada; brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; aunts; uncles; nieces; nephews; cousins; and a host of friends.
Services were held Monday, July 28, in the Hackleman Chapel with Rev. Renee Hack¬leman officiating. Honorary pallbearers were R.P. Newman Jr., Loren Eason, Jim Dennison, Carl Renalls, Don Crab¬tree, Norm Rogers, Al Richter, Robert Krish, Tony Fast, Deryl Fast, James Fast Jr., Randy Sewell, Jason Hensrud, Doug Halvorson, Mary Leis, Joe Talley, Ron Smith, Vern Lysford, Tim Lysford, Troy Lysford, Doug Lysford, Barry Langen, David Langen, Wayne Roen and all 3M co-workers.
Cremation was under direc¬tion of the Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home. By his request, Pat's remains will be scattered in the Colorado mountains where he loved to hunt.
