Orlena Allinson, 82, Inde¬pendence, passed away Monday morning, July 7, 2003, in Inde¬pendence Regional Health Care.
Orlena was born March 11, 1921, in Vernon County to Benjamin and Anna (Doryland) Hamby. Mrs. Allinson was an LPN and used those skills through her church working on mission projects.
Orlena was dedicated to liv¬ing a Christian life of servitude. She had a great love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her daughters, Sue Cook and Maggie Barger.
Survivors include her son, Hank Allinson - El Dorado Springs; six grandchildren - Rick Bourland, Brenda Smithers, Angie Story, Travis Cook, Bobbi Quick and Toni McElwain; and 11 great-grand¬children.
