Lyle Edward Bough, 66, El Dorado Springs, passed away at his home on July 23, 2003. He was born on Dec. 24, 1936, in Porterville, CA, to Clyde and Mabel Rosenbaum Bough.
Lyle enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Germany from 1958-1961. He served as a tank driver. While there he toured nine countries.
Lyle was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He was a carpenter by trade and a shade tree mechanic.
He enjoyed visiting restoring his old car, fishing and going to the Wyoming mountains, where he and Nadine had a host of friends and neighbors.
He was saved as a young man and attended the Mission¬ary Baptist Church where his father was pastor.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Donald Lee; and his sister, Carol.
He is survived by his wife, Nadine - of the home; two sons, Edward Norman - Monett, and Todd Norman - Johnstown, NY; one granddaughter, Andrea Norman - Republic; brother, Kyle Bough, and his wife, Elaine - Longview, TX; two uncles, Elda Rosenbaum and his wife, Marge, and Fred Bough and his wife, Martha - all of Stockton; two aunts, Opal Rosenbaum - Stockton, and Rosa Lee Rosenbaum - Dadeville; two step-sons, Jerry Coleman - El Dorado Springs, and David Coleman - Belton; two sisters-in-law, Lois Smith and her husband, Sonny, and Norma Toliver and her husband, Wayne, and their families - all from El Dorado Springs; and many nieces; nephews; cousins; and friends.
Services were held Saturday, July 26, in the Hackleman Chapel with Bro. Derl Hicks officiating. Musical selections were provided by Faith Trussell. Interment was in the Gum Springs Cemetery under direc¬tion of Hackleman and Sons Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were Jerry Coleman, David Coleman, Darren Toliver, JR Stroer, Jody Smith and Scotty Bough.
