Anna Lucille Evans, 79, of Chanute, KS, passed away Tuesday, April 27, 2010, at the Heritage Health Care Center in Chanute. Anna was born in Kansas City, on June 8, 1930, the daughter of Frank Elijah and Edna Mae (Townsend) Gregory.
She attended Northeast High School in Kansas City.
She was united in marriage to Daniel David Evans on May 13, 1953, at the Presbyterian Church in Lee’s Summit. He preceded her in death.
Anna was a homemaker and farm wife.
She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and loved to square dance.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Daniel; and two brothers, Edward and Ike; and a sister, Frances Curtis.
Anna is survived by two daughters, Linda Malcom, and her husband, Jerry - Wichita, KS, and Helen Johnson, and her husband, Jim - Haslett, MI; a son, David Evans, and his wife, Jerry - Schell City; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Helen Lipari of Albuquerque, NM.
Services were held Friday, April 30, in the First Presbyterian Church. Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Penwell-Gabel Gibson Chapel, Chanute, KS.
Memorials in her name may be made to the First Presbyterian Church and may be left with the funeral home.
