Rebecca Rose “Becky” Bush, 74, El Dorado Springs, was born March 27, 1936, in El Dorado Springs, to Lester and Blanche Darnell Roby. She passed away April 1, 2010, at the Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs.
In 1955 she was united in marriage to Billy Bush. A career Marine, Billy and Becky spent 20 years at various Marine assignments before returning to El Dorado Springs to raise their three sons.
Becky worked several years as a switchboard operator at the Nevada Rehabilitation Center. After semi-retiring, she worked several years for Wilkinson Pharmacy. She especially enjoyed the people she met and worked with during this period in her life.
Becky was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs. Her favorite pastimes were making fried rice and rock candy and sharing them with family and friends, and being entertained by her two Pugs, Kila and Kizzi. Becky was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Dick Roby, and a nephew, Jay Smith.
She is survived by three sons - Mike and wife, LaDanta - El Dorado Springs, Mark and wife, Theresa - Fort Gibson, OK, and Mitch and wife, Tonya - El Dorado Springs; one sister, Mrs. Lois Smith and husband, Wally - El Dorado Springs; 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Becky was especially loved and cared for by the entire staff of Community Springs Healthcare in El Dorado Springs the past 15 months.
Graveside services and interment under the direction of Sheldon Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs, was Monday, April 5, in El Dorado Springs Cemetery with Rev. Brent Bland officiating.
