Joseph Patton (Pat) Cox

Joseph Patton (Pat) Cox, 34, Jerico Springs, passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2010, in Jerico Springs. He was born on March 19, 1976, in Houston, TX.

Pat enjoyed spending time with his son, Stephen. He also loved to race dirt track at Nevada Speedway, as well as do some coon hunting from time to time. He always enjoyed spending time with his many friends. He will be remembered for his quick-witted sense of humor and love of racing.

Pat is survived by his mother, Marion Harris - Zeeland, MI; his father, Joe Cox - Ben Hur, VA; his sister, Nina Thomure, and her husband, Mike; and nieces, Samantha and Zoie - Hudsonville, MI; his son, Stephen Cox; stepdaughter, Temper Boyd - El Dorado Springs; his companion, Rebecca Jackson, and her sons, Isaac and Braxton Jackson; a stepbrother, Marvin Hogue, and his wife, Jay, and son, Trey; three half-sisters - Glenda Waldron, Donna Dailey and Lana Zarger; as well as many other loving family members.

Services were held on Monday, April 26, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel with Kenny Batson officiating. Music selections were: Watching You Dad, Startin’ With Me, I Can Only Imagine’and Knocking on Heaven’s Door.

Pallbearers were - Nicky Bullard, Joey Kaderly, Amos Miller, Aaron Miller, Karl Lehmann and Marvin Hogue. Honorary pallbearers were - Shawn O’Banion, Jason Williams, Wylie Blevins, Kenny Zanoni and John Perry.

Interment was in Hall Cemetery near Jerico Springs under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home, El Dorado Springs.
