David Edward 'Ed' McCannon

David “Ed” McCannon Jr., 73, Blue Springs, formerly of Schell City, passed away June 15, 2010, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs. He was born in Chilhowee on Dec. 2, 1936.

He loved to play poker and watch old westerns on TV. He will be missed by family and friends.

Ed is survived by Deanna Marlow, Blue Springs; daughter, Sheri Ring and husband, Ron – Lee’s Summit; sons, Charles Edward
McCannon and wife, Amy - Alton, IL, and David Edward McCannon III – Excelsior Springs; step-son, Rick Marlow and wife, Becky – Pleasant Hill; step-daughter, Melissa Goss and husband, Randy – Blue Springs; nine grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Graveside services with interment was Saturday, June 19, in Green Lawn Cemetery in Schell City with speaker David Souza officiating. Pallbearers were – Chuck McCannon, David McCannon, Sean McCannon, Ricky Marlow, Gary Stoneking and Billy Ramsell. Honorary pallbearers were – Randy Goss and Clarence Conwell.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Lewis-Hoagland Funeral Home in Schell City.
