Mildred Lorene (Pankey) Marshall

Mildred Lorene (Pankey) Marshall, 79, El Dorado Springs, was born Feb. 2, 1931, to Gilbert and Nada Pankey in Stockton. She passed away June 20, 2010, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Mildred was saved at any early age at Virgil City Liberty Church. She married Donald E. Marshall on Dec. 31, 1951, and to this union seven children were born.

Mildred and Don were members of the Union Hall Baptist Church in El Dorado Springs.

While working outside the home for many years, Mildred enjoyed her co-workers and caring for others. She also loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren in later years. She was a special blessing to each family member and everyone holds their own special memories of their time spent together. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Preceding her in death were her parents; infant sister, Beverly; and one brother, Dwain Pankey.

Survivors include her husband, Donald E. Marshall; seven children - Sharon Berning and husband, Roger, Randy Marshall and wife, Carolyn, Lindell Marshall and wife, Kris, Sharyl Wynes and husband, Mike, Shana Newman and husband, Jeff - all of El Dorado Springs, Sheila Frieze and husband, Mark - Stockton, and Sharla Stonebraker and Guy Manning - Nevada; one sister, Marvalene Pankey - El Dorado Springs; 16 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services began at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, at Bland-Hackleman Chapel. Brother Elbert Ford and Brother Mark Mitchell officiated the service and Janet Cheek and Brenda Hill provided the music. A visitation was held just prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment was in Virgil City Cemetery under the direction of Bland-Hackleman Funeral Home. Pallbearers were - Randon Marshall, Justin Marshall, Joshua Berning, Jacob Berning, Addison Wynes and Dillon Frieze. Honorary pallbearers were - J.C. Marshall, L.D. Forest, C.B. Campbell, Roger Berning and Doyle White.
