Ronald M. Sallee


Ronald M. Sallee, 72, of Erie, KS, died at 3:36 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010, at Labette Health in Parsons, KS. He was born March
29, 1938, in Coffeyville, KS, to Max and Augusta (Ernie) Sallee.

In his early years he lived in Humboldt, KS, and Chanute, KS. Since 2003, he had lived in Erie.

Throughout his adult life, he worked as a truck driver and in the oil fields. He loved to do restoration work on old items and to attend auctions. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and care for his many animals. He loved his family and wasn’t afraid to “tell it like it was.” In his “downtime,” he enjoyed a good western movie.

He is survived by three sons – Rick Sallee and Robbie Sallee and his wife, Janet – all of Chanute and Buddie Sallee – Humboldt; two daughters, Starla Dobbs and her husband, Lucas, and Rhonda Bland and her husband, Lyle – all of El Dorado Springs; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services began at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 23, at the Pierce-Carson-Wall Funeral Home in Erie, KS. Burial followed at 2 p.m. in the Restlawn Cemetery in Coffeyville, KS.
