John M. Williams

John M. Williams, 65, Nevada passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2010, at his home in Nevada. He was born May 26, 1945, in Aurora, IL, to Russell A. Williams and Nancy M. Latta Williams.

John spent his childhood growing up in California, moving to Missouri with his mother and sister following the death of his father. After settling his mother and sister in El Dorado Springs, he joined the U.S. Air Force. Upon completion of his tour of duty, he returned to Missouri where he spent his adult life living and working in Nevada. He worked for Sohigro (now MFA), Central States Press, Nevada State Hospital and Heartland Hospital.

Survivors include his sister, Bonnie J. Ochs, and her husband, Glenn R. – Nevada; one nephew, Scott R. Fox – Nevada; one niece, Nancy Kellogg, and her husband, Paul – Pittsburg, KS; three great-nephews – Damon Kellogg – Pittsburg, KS, Scott Fox – Ft. Scott, KS, and Samuel Kellogg – Pittsburg, KS; one great-niece, Alaina Kellogg – Pittsburg, KS; two aunts, Mary Williams – Edgewood, NM, and Ruth Latta – El Dorado Springs; and numerous cousins.

A graveside service will begin at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 17, in the El Dorado Springs City Cemetery, following a visitation from 10-11 a.m. at Ferry Funeral Home, 301 S. Washington, Nevada.
